1. What's AppGin?

AppGin or Application Engine for short let's you create a mini-application from our website, then generate it using any language and framework you want.

2. What's an AppGin Application?

An application is a collection of forms linked together by common data, or common function.

3. What's an AppGin Form?

A form is a collection of fields, so if you are use to spreadsheets a form represents all the cells and a field is a column.

4. How do I create an Application?

You can create an application by going through our wizard and creating forms and fields. Once you configure it the way you like, you test the application and when you are satisfied, you generate your application.

5. How do I create a Form?

By going to the application admin area and creating a form. You then add fields to a form using the fields link.

6. What is a CSV file?

A CSV or Comma Separated Value is a data format that Excel spreadsheets can be "Saved As". The columns are in the first row, separated by commas, and the data is in subsequent rows, separated by commas.

7. What does AppGin cost?

AppGin is a generation service. Based on the language and framework you pick and how complicated your application is, the cost will be determined dynamically.

8. What's a Ref, or Reference Item?

A Reference Item is a common element in a form or multiple forms that you don't want to repeat, a few examples of this include States and State Codes: Ohio, OH, or you could have a Status and Status Codes: Active, ACT.

9. How do I invite other people to use AppGin?

By inputing their email address in to the invite page. Upon sending the invite the user will receive an invitation email and then they will be prompted through an account creation process then be added to your application as a user.

10. What is App Testing?

This is an area where you can add, edit, and delete records from your forms. It's a way to test the usability of an application before you build it.

11. What if I am not satisfied with an application?

All sales are final. You can test an application before you purchase in App Testing, and you can download a few sample applications so you can get an idea of what you will receive for your custom application.

12. How secure is my application and data?

Your applications are stored offsite and you can request a copy at anytime from support@appgin.com, just include your application code and email address?
